Senior Support Worker

Description

We are looking for a Senior Support Worker to join our team and provide a person centred, needs led service to adults with a learning and/or physical disability.

The candidate must have a NVQ 3 qualification and a clean driving licence. They will be required to drive the mini bus in order to support the residents with community activities.

To provide support to residents with Learning / Physical Disabilities in all aspects of their daily lives, providing personal care, support with meals and activities both in the community and in the home.

To support the Home Manager with the following :

  • Management of the medication system, ordering through to administration.
  • Ensuring care plans, guidelines and risk assessments are accurate and up to date
  • To supervise and lead a team of support workers, carrying out supervisions and appraisals.
  • Management of the residents’ and house finances.
  • The post holder should be willing to undertake training themselves in order to be able to support with the training of staff in specific specialist areas, e.g. manual handling / infection control etc.
  • Opportunity exists for promotion to Lead Senior / Deputy Manager.
  • The post holder must hold a full UK Driving Licence and be willing to drive the company minibus to enable residents to participate in community based activities.

You will be required to assist with all activities of daily living and support the residents to participate in a range of activities within the home and community.
